About Lynsey

It's Lynsey! Smiling off into the distance.

Hi, I’m Lynsey.

I’m here to help.

Occupational Therapy

I am an ACOT registered Occupational Therapist (AB) working in Edmonton since 2016.

Most of my experience is in forensic mental health, however I also work in the community treating folks with both mental and physical impairments.

I offer private OT and Mental Health Services in the Community on a part time basis.

In the Wild

Lynsey crouched next to one of her dogs, Rex.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with family and my three dogs.

I enjoy hiking, reading, and hot yoga. I grew up working in the service industry, I have been a “ski bum”, and volunteered as a pet therapy handler in both geriatrics and pediatrics.

My experience has given me different perspectives which inform my approach to treatment, and you as an individual.

My Approach

My goal is to keep it real. When you come to our sessions, you see the authentic me.

I actively create a space for you that is safe, nonjudgemental, and accessible – no therapy jargon, or following a medical model of treatment. My work is a collaboration with you – you are the one who knows your life!

Education & Training

Education and Training

I hold an Master of Sciences in Occupational Therapy and an Master of Arts in Gender and Social Justice.

As an OT I have received training in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, prolonged exposure therapy, integrated Modular Treatment for Personality Disorders and Advanced Training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I am also trained in home equipment, personal care and mobility assessments.

Please reach out for a 15-minute consult call if you would like to see if I am a good fit for your needs!
